The AprilAire 1213 High-Performance Upgrade Kit is an easy-to-install filter frame system designed to enhance the air filtration performance of your AprilAire 2120, 2200, or Space-Gard 2200 Whole-Home Air Cleaner, while greatly reducing the effort required when changing the filter media. This one-time installation kit eliminates the need for pleat spacers and simplifies the filter replacement process.

The 1213 Kit assembles without tools and converts your air purifier from using the AprilAire 201 MERV 10 Air Filter media to the more effective AprilAire Healthy Home 4-inch High Performance Air Filter media. The installation takes just 30 seconds, as the kit slides directly into your air purifier. Included in the kit is one AprilAire 213 Healthy Air 13 Air Filter, which can last up to a year.

The AprilAire 213 whole-home filter is designed to trap and remove common allergens, such as airborne pollen, mold spores, bacteria, pet dander, dust particles, and dust mites, as air circulates through its MERV 13 filter. When it's time to replace the 213 filter, you have the flexibility to choose from various AprilAire compatible filters ranging from MERV 11 through MERV 16.

By upgrading to the 1213 Kit, you are no longer limited to using only the AprilAire 201 MERV 10 filter media in your air purifier. This upgrade allows you to save time, enjoy faster and easier filter changes, and eliminate frustration, while ensuring your home benefits from Healthy Air.

The 1213 Upgrade Kit includes: (4) Frame Supports, (2) Frame Bases, one AprilAire Model 213 Replacement Filter (MERV 13, nominal size of 20 x 25 x 4 inches), (1) Styrofoam Door Liner, and an Owner's and Installation Manual.

It's important to note that MERV is a scale used to measure the effectiveness of air filters, and higher number values indicate more effective filtration. The AprilAire 213 Healthy Air 13 Air Filter has been performance tested to the ASHRAE 52.2 Standard, with a minimum efficiency reporting value of MERV 13, ensuring the removal of common contaminants as air passes through the filtering system.
